The Concept Of Memory Modules

A memory module is a computer component that the CPU can address and perform read and write operations through a bus. Memory modules were once an extension of main memory in the history of personal computers. With the continuous updating of computer software and hardware technology, memory modules have become an integral part of read-write memory. The size of computer memory (RAM) that we usually refer to is the total capacity of the memory modules.
The memory module is an essential component of a computer, and the CPU can address the memory through a data bus. In history, computer motherboards had main memory, and the memory module was an extension of the main memory. In the future, computer motherboards will not have main memory, and CPUs will rely entirely on memory modules. All content on external storage must be accessed through memory to be effective.
