Memory is an essential component of computers (PCs, microcontrollers). Unlike optional external storage, memory is a component that performs read and write operations in a bus manner; Memory is not just used as a data warehouse. Except for a small number of essential programs in operating systems that reside in memory, the programs we commonly use, such as Windows, Linux and other system software, including typing software, game software and other application software, although they store a large amount of data, including program code, on external storage devices such as tapes, disks, CDs, and portable drives, any data in external storage can only be truly used by transferring it into memory. Any input (from external storage, keyboard, mouse, microphone, scanner, etc.) and any output (display, print, audio, write to external storage, etc.) on a computer can only be done through memory.
